Can u still use the weed whacker if it raind or grass is wet

While weed whacking in the rain doesn’t pose a great threat, you shouldn’t make a habit of doing yard work in stormy or damp conditions.

If it is raining or the grass is wet, consider doing your trimming another day. Operating your grass trimmer in wet weather is a bad idea for a few reasons. The first being you could slip, slide and fall on the wet grass causing injury to you of damaging your trimmer.

Also, wet grass allows the trimmer to not operate at full capacity which can eventually lead to permanent damage and having to replace your trimmer. Wet grass will bind together and wrap around the head of the weed whacker, which can lead to gouged roots and a stalled engine.
